If there’s one thing I know about vertical drama fans, it’s that we have opinions. We know what we love, we know who we want to watch, and we have plenty of ideas about the stories we’d like to see.

So let’s help make them happen.

I’ve partnered with the Inverted app to bring together independent creators, talented actors and our wonderful vertical drama community to help get new projects made.

The idea is simple: discover the projects, find the ones you love, and help get them over the line.

The stories we want to see

We’re championing human stories, made by real people. The performances, chemistry and creativity that make us fall in love with a show in the first place. None of the AI nonsense.

There is so much talent in this industry, and so many ideas that deserve a chance. We want to give creators space to try different stories and show that there’s an audience waiting for them.

We’re bringing together a varied selection of projects, with some very exciting stars already attached. You’ll be able to find out about each story, meet the people behind it and hear why they’re so keen to make it.

Then it’s over to you.

What does fan powered mean?

Through the projects’ crowdfunding campaigns, you’ll be able to support the verticals you most want to watch and help move them towards production.

Fan support can do more than contribute to a budget. It can show potential funding partners that people want these stories to be made. That there’s a community ready to watch, share and champion them.

And getting a project made means paid work for the people who make it happen: writers, actors, directors, editors, crew and all the other creatives whose work we enjoy.

That’s what I want us to build together. More stories we love, and more opportunities for the people who create them.

I’ve seen how generous, enthusiastic and determined this community can be. We turn up for the people and shows we love. We recommend them, celebrate them and introduce them to new audiences.

This is a chance to put that energy behind projects from the beginning.

The goal is to run several rounds of this, bringing forward more projects and helping as many as possible get made. To keep creating work, championing talent and showing what fans can help make possible.
