I've dithered over my rating of this one on Reelshort it is nearly a 4 star but not quite.

Jesse Morales is great as the dashing lead

Sarah Noelle has a thankless task, as the character of Sam is pretty passive, and things tend to happen to her, rather than taking action. Cheered when she got herself out of the bathroom with the hairpin. Wish she had been given more to do, there were some great sassy put downs when tables were turned.

I also think the revolving door of villains meant no one really had enough to get their teeth into. Emily Rose Morris was fab and needed more screen time

And I did like the twist of poor Cal getting drugged not once but twice at the same party because of multiple villains

(Whoever came up with the name Calladan Vandalay needs a raise btw - genius!)

Poor Tad took incompetence to the next level. Why get leverage and then totally fail to use it?!

My main other quibble is I don't mind swearing, but we didn't need 2 uses of the c word - this is what made me drop to a 3 star rating.

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

Things we learnt- Jesse Morales looks good in construction gear, and there is more money in construction than you might think. And bravo for selling falling in love at first sight at the meet cute at the blood bank

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

Bit of a revolving door of villains in this one, which means no one really gets a chance to go for it, but Emily Rose Morris as Alexis brought it to every scene she was in.

😂 Comedy gold:

Tad brings a new level to incompetent villain, failing to do anything with the leverage he has. And love Alexis replying to the line ‘You’re insane’ with ‘maybe, but at least I’m not boring’

🎺 Unsung hero:

Dipanshu Sharma as Brad, for turning up with the correct DNA report at just the right time!
