Oh we are in crazy town here with this one but it is so fun.

@cailinpeluso is our heroine Vera / Penny, perfectly cast as she can bat those big eyes and look incredibly innocent as she slowly turns the tables on Blair. The accent is a bit disconcerting but you get used to it as it fits with the whole gee shucks routine. And there is endless fun watching Penny pretend to suffer and then pull faces at Blair behind Theo's back

@_kimberlymcclain does a sterling job as Blair, she has to scream and stamp her feet a lot as Penny bests her again and again. Again lots of fun moments like when she is planning to play all sweet and vulnerable before the gala dinner

Also always love @jeannecarr7 who does the best facial expressions and prepare to slap move in verticals. Just the way she alters her gait, narrows her eyes, talks out of the side of her mouth, she is a hoot

@noahandre_ has less to do here, as he is the one the girls run rings round and fight over. He kind of has to do nice but dim, but still keep it charming and because he is mega talented he can do it. Powerful moment when he bawls out the family when he sees the abuse. But then peak comedy in the final episode along with an excellent knee slide

Also appreciated the guest at the banquet calling out Blair for the bizarre vertical drama villain demand to strip to prove you haven't stolen something

Yes it is all a bit mad - this is very OTT but it is loads of fun, great seeing the 2 ladies battle it out, and the ending is perfect.

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

Sound the alarm! We have a one handed pick up and carry people - after the piano incident. But this is more about the games between Penny and Blair than the romance.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

We are shown enough of Blair and her parents awful misdeeds to keep us on side, as at times Penny could be the villain. It's a testament to Cailin Peluso that she keeps you rooting for Penny the whole way through. And delightful to see how she turns Blair's tricks back on her.

😂 Comedy gold:

Vera/Penny's whole 'aw gee shucks I'm just a poor country girl's act complete with accent. All that is missing is her twirling what hair. It's great fun, watching her enrage Blair time and again. Also the moment where Blair wants to take a photo and has no phone storage. Never has there been a more accurate moment in verts. Oh and the ending. And Theo consulting Chat GPT and saying he will love her as long as he has wifi.

🎺 Unsung hero:

Theo's parents for rescuing and hiring Vera. Mad parenting but kind of inspired. Fave moment is when mum admires 2 master manipulators at work.
