Well this is very good from @fumero.films on @app.shorts
We all know @sarahmoliski is a fabulous villain and she finally gets an awesome lead role here as Nora, girl boss senator who is told she won't get any further with voters unless she has a family. She has the tenaciousness and tough streak that you well believe she has fought to get where she is, but the moral compass and compassion to do what is right, see her outrage at child labor.
It's a super role, Sarah is amazing and lots more please
@gowatchmyreel (or the man who never sleeps judging by the amount of vert projects he has out) has an iconic entrance in that hoodie. We don't know why Luke isn't wearing a shirt but it doesn't matter cos it is hot. The boxing sequences are so well done, I could have watched a lot more of them. Tyler Scherer is great in this, the physicality of the boxing, a cute relationship with his daughter and both heat and love with Nora
All the cast are great @nchecket as Walter, @dalligation as Eli and props to @laurenjuderosa as Skye. Totally natural on scene and delivers some brilliant lines. Amazing work.
It is all very well done, and a great watch
Now this is exactly the same story as with Quincy Leigh and Evan Wick in Fight For Me Mr Bodyguard. The one change is that it is politics rather than business, and that tweak works well.
I am quite happy to watch 2 versions of this sorry, both have their merits and strong performances.
But I think we are done now. We don't need more.
Now what I would watch is a boxing vertical with Tyler and Evan
That could be epic!
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
These two have instant chemistry, but it is really about when Luke realises Nora has really stepped up to be a mother, and Nora realises winning is hollow if she doesn’t have her new family.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
Nick Checket is super as Walter Cain, turning on the mega watt smile for cameras whilst also threatening Nora, groping her, throwing boxing matches and generally being a sleazeball. But he gets that optics are everything, so knows how to charm the press.
😂 Comedy gold:
Skye explaining how babies are made to Nora and her dad 😂. And Nora desperately trying not to swear about the hole in her dress in front of Skye!
🎺 Unsung hero:
Nora’s assistant Eli who keeps the whole campaign on track, whilst also encouraging her to pursue love. Top work!
