This is flipping brilliant. The look, the quality, the shots, the sound, the story, the performances.
It is on CandyJar who are continually delivering higher quality verts that feel more like indie films.
Cle’era Neshay is brilliant as Whitley balances her attraction to Gabriel with her job, her concerns about concussions and her brother. She is strong and kind all at the same time, and the scene with her brother Kendrick (Havon Baraka) where she begs him to see her as a younger sister not little sister is superb.
Kahi Machado will break your heart as Gabriel. He starts off as a cheeky, sexy wideboy but ends up showing more layers as we learn about his childhood. The scene where he curls up and puts his head in Whitley's lap is everything.
And the whole thing is so well put together, watch EP 29 for a brilliant and non typical training montage that rivals anything on the big screen.
Add in Havon Baraka as elder brother Kendrick who brings the charisma to lead a team, and blundering protectiveness as he tries to look out for his sister.
Look the whole thing is perfect. It's so good. I can't articulate how much I liked this one. Just go and watch it.
And it even has some useful things to say about concussion, something close to my heart after an accident 7 years ago that changed my life.
Well done CandyJar you are an example to all other apps out there of how to do it well and be a class act.
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
There is chemistry oozing off the screen from the first scene here, and I love that Whitley is so strong, and is actually the one in control most of the time. And we soon find out that Gabriel is the one who has caught feelings first. It is a simple story, but so well done because of the brilliant performances and script. It is a great love story, and that is what most of us are here for.

🎺 Unsung hero:
Kendrick’s girlfriend who smoothes all things over. And all the discussion about concussion. As someone who has post concussion syndrome thanks to 3 stone of boxes falling on my head at work, this was appreciated.
