REVIEW
⭐⭐⭐
Right let's get the 🐘 in the room out of the way. This is basically exactly the same script as Catch Me If You Can which came out earlier this year in the same app. I mean they didn't even change the main characters names.
So why watch it?
Well Hanna Kemp. Because she is so darn watchable and carries the whole thing.
Logic is rather lost here, but Hanna makes it all work and feel for her character who is desperately trying to hold down a rather important AI job while also helping BFF Vera (Kendra Blanco) and acting as PA for boss Charles (Aidan Browne)
Charles is what let's this version of the story down, his character is really underwritten and at times unlikeable, he is so caught up in his own ego. If even Aidan Browne is struggling to make a character likeable some rewriting needs to happen. Thankfully he softens a little bit at the end, proving handy when you dress ties come undone and realising he needs to put more effort in.
I do like a cross dressing vertical, I mean the storyline worked well for Shakespeare so why not Verticals. This is a slight version, but perfectly watchable in particular for the star power that Hannah Kemp brings. She brings the soul and heart of this story, and is why I kept watching to the end

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
Charles does let the side down a bit, with his total confidence in his charm. At least Liam does point out to him that he may need to do a bit more than just flash the mega watt smile
To be honest Nora, I think you could do better, but I think Charles knows that as well as the end, and does realise how fortunate he is
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
There isn’t really one here - more time. Because poor Nora is working 2 jobs, has 3 identities and it is a miracle she doesn’t have a nervous breakdown!
😂 Comedy gold:
Vera deciding out of nowhere that Nora needs to become Noah, and handily having a wig and outfit in a bag to use. Do not use logic in this one!
🎺 Unsung hero:
Bob, poor Nora’s boss, who has dealt with a few too many wedding leave requests, and is left manning that department on his own all too often
