REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This has some good moments in it

- Some great comedy from Xavier (Tyler Scherer) and good lines
- The genius that is Richmond Keeling
- Noticeably more diverse casting, it's not perfect, but there is progress
- Mia (Alena Savostikova) has a black belt in Karate and deals with one of her attackers

It is let down by the overuse of slaps, but I felt it was worth pushing through

It's got a strong love story at the center of it, and the bad drugs make for a good villain story.

I haven't watched enough of either of the leads’ projects

- Alena Savostikova is great: likeable, strong and more than holds her own against all the big characters around her
- Tyler Scherer has some great comedy moments as well as the all-important swoon-inducing moments. And is very handy with a hammer.
- Carolina Rezende brings it as Kara, and doesn't need all the slaps to dominate the screen and cause chaos

But the person I really want to talk about is Richmond Keeling.

He is so good. There is one moment where Salvio is locked out of the banquet, and the way he pulls on the door to try and get it, it's just perfection. The way he does it makes it a memorable moment

I don't know if Richmond wants the roles, but why the heck isn't he a lead?

1 He is HOT. He is swoonworthy. Look, he almost manages to make the mad gold tooth look good
2 He has skillz. Again acting and enunciating despite the mad gold tooth
3 He can act and is a comedy genius

He SO needs to be the lead in a screwball comedy, and please can someone sort this out

And finally, this vertical really should have been sponsored by Flash power mops.

Yes, I have that mop at home and sometimes even use it

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

I do like the moments where Xavier tests Mia to see if she will go for Mr X over her husband. And every single time she stands up for her husband, you see him fall more deeply in love.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

The Valerio family - and the total overuse of slaps. Please can we get rid of the slaps? Because Carolina Rezende as Kara is a great villainess.

😂 Comedy gold:

Turns out Tyler Scherer should do more comedy, every time he scrambles to get back in the wheelchair in time is hilarious.

And the detail on Mia’s CV about the award for dealing with stubborn goats - perfection

🎺 Unsung hero:

Hailey Wang for sorting out the fake dress nonense, and actress Gloria Therese for suggesting I watch this! Thank you
