Verticals go Lifetime. That was the vibe I got from this one, my first @atwistofficial watch
Firstly for regular vertical viewers there are lots of fun cameos - @nick.ritacco @kirby.ellwood @megbush_ @sethedeen and the world's worst moustache.
Storywise, well we know what will happen from the truly excellent click bait title. It grabs your attention.
This is my fave role of @mariah_moss for a long time, she has something to work with and the real life friendship with @addison_bowman comes over on screen. Those are the best bits
@libadalov is great as the tragic hero, he is our green flag option but alas stitched up by Trent
At least he fares better than @its_adamdaniel who for some reason doesn't think to call the police
And then we have Trent @thefakeshaynedavis in a tricky role. He has to seem lovely to explain why Harper is with him. But then the character ends up a bit boring. Wish we could have gone unhinged a bit sooner.
To be honest I struggled with the middle part of this one, and nearly gave up. Pace was a bit slow and we know Trent is the killer and want to see him caught.
Thank goodness I didn't because the final episode is chef's kiss. I just wish this has been brought in sooner. It is punch the air fun, brings the black humour that I think this needed all the way through. We need more of Liv and Harper dispensing their own justice
A solid start on @atwistofficial. Good to see something new, and the quality that @halogen.cinema always bring
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
I mean Dr Nassar is a paediatrician who is better with kids than Harper, forgives her and then leaves to do Doctors Without Borders in Sudan. But actually the best relationship is the friendship between Harper and Liv. Liv is the real hero here.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
Well it should be our serial killer, and I don’t think it is any surprise to anyone that this is Trent. But actually I would argue the bigger villain is that moustache Eli (Seth Edeen) wears. CRIMES against facial hair.
😂 Comedy gold:
Firstly that Trent is a top notch doctor - who does no doctoring, and has a lot of spare time to be a serial killer. And maintain his vintage car. Also an educational moment about why poison by water bottle isn’t always the best plan.
🎺 Unsung hero:
DAVE! Poor, poor Dave. Who met his untimely end at the bottom of a cliff. And Adam Daniel trying to avenge his sister. But being a bit useless at it. At least he tried I suppose.
