Ah I got so excited when I found this on @dramabox_us - finally someone making a light, fun vertical, with diversity and wit. Turns out it actually came out last year, and has found a new home on Dramabox, but it is well worth a watch.
Because we have one of the best cop teams assembled here, I'm talking comedy gold. A lot of not so subtle nods to donuts. Jokes about police department cuts. And I could watch spin off show with the Chief, Kevin and Zoey. Now I can't find the actors to hoping someone will help me out
It is so lovely seeing @haleylohrli smile! She gets to laugh in this, and do some physical comedy as well as carry the emotional heart as she struggles with falling in love with Luke
@libadalov is the straight guy here to the comedy around in, but sells the whole thing as a decent guy who just wants to find love.
Matthew Stephen Smith is a hoot as bodyguard Filippo, the always awesome @vanessaschwarzz is great in her short scenes and @jmcdonald777 rocks the gold suit.
A lot of fun is had with spy gadgets...the massage chair that doubles as a lie detector, the hidden cameras in the lighter and hidden doll.
This is just FUN. And it feels harder and harder to find verticals like this at the moment

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
All Luke wants is to be loved for himself not his status, and his devotion to Grace is rather adorable. Also appreciate a man who wants to take his lady travelling (Sakura blossoms in Japan) rather than the endless handbags, jewellery, cars and estates the billionaires usually gift.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
We have a great brief turn by Vanessa von Schwarzz as Amanda who BREAKS THE SALT CELLAR - it is an important plot point. Plus Jeff McDonald as Jason Wood who gets to wear the most bling suit ever seen in a vertical, and pulls it off!
😂 Comedy gold:
So many - everything featuring the Sheriff’s team - Zoey filling in as psych because of staffing issues, Kevin is a scream, and the Sheriff trying to paddle to the side of the pool. Plus everyone looking for the phone at the end to call 911. So good! Lines to quote include ‘Respect the salt cellar’ and ‘Don’t shoot the donuts’.
🎺 Unsung hero:
I did give a cheer for MI6 who save the day at the end. But I think it has to be Filippo, who ships his boss and Grace, battles through that allergy and then has a panic at the end that he will get arrested for assaulting a police officer.
