REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hang it in the Louvre

This is already one of my fave rom coms of all time, not just verts, all movies. This should be on the big screen and the leads should be global superstars, even more so than they already are.

It's proof you can tell an original story, be funny, blend physical comedy and laugh out loud lines, have heart, a proper romance, super supporting characters and a brilliant ending.

Plus please note you can do a comedy without gross out gags.

And the leads are perfection

@petrozhitskaya is just warmth on screen, you love Molly, want to be friends with her, and delivers everything effortlessly from some brilliant lines to dancing after the shower

And @rubanbogdan has done his fair share of Mafia and High School verticals - he is always super, but turns out his zone of genius is comedy. To be able to deliver the line about Kung Fu and make it different to the Keanu Reeves delivery. And his face when nestled in Molly's lap. But then he can switch from cute to serious in an instant, especially when River remembers who he is and desperately tries to stay hidden

I also adore Molly's parents

@sergeyde
nga is a bit De Niro in Meet the Parents here, combining warmth, comedy and and threat he might kill you at any moment. Love the commitment to the hat, and all the stuff with the salt

Yuliana Bartash is the perfect screen partner as mum, from the sleep walking scene to her excitedly clapping and gently being told to stop by her husband.

It's just utterly utterly wonderful - it made me smile, laugh out loud, get the warm and fuzzies, and when I finished instantly wanted to watch it again

I can't thank everyone involved in this production enough - it is pure joy.

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

Oh my goodness - you will fall in love with both Daria and Bogdan in this. Molly has a wonderful natural warmth, reminiscent of Sandra Bullock & Julia Roberts. And Bogdan's charm has never been put to better use - from checking for monsters under the bed, to enjoying being held after the fall, to his pride in Molly solving the problems at the end with her career. This is how movies should feel, where you love both leads, and want them to end up together and happy.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

I do feel a bit bad for Princess Vanessa.

😂 Comedy gold:

This is by far the funniest vertical I have watched - IT CAN BE DONE. Rom Coms are back. So much - the cheating fiance falling on top of her best friend naked, the leaf outfits, sleep walking and needing to teach algebra to a snail, wrestling over the bottle of win, dad moving the table to get the salt closer and Molly carrying on eating, the shower solution, both our leads doing CPR and getting a bit distracted by the other being rather attractive. But I think it has to be when River climbs up to the window, catches Molly naked, and the simultaneous scream. Comedy perfection.

🎺 Unsung hero:

Firstly the hair and make up team - for best work with a beard in a vertical. Turns out the answer is long straggly hair as well – it at least looks a little more believable, top marks! And character wise, Molly's parents are the best - funny, clearly in love, amazing to their daughter, and pretty accepting of River. Just the best. Dream duo.
