starring: BRITTNEY JEFFERSON, JASMINE LUV-BARRETT, ERIC LYNCH, XAVIER AVILA, JENNA NOLEN-ROUSE
When the phones of four friends are hacked during a casual double-date night, their secrets stream across their television like a bad dream. Trust unravels at the speed of a text, and receipts drop faster than WiFi. As questions shift their friendship in real time, they’re all left wondering if they’re strong enough to survive this glitch, or if they’ll have to pay for everything they’ve done.
REVIEW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Can something besides a romance work in verticals and deliver viewing numbers?
Yes. Thrillers have been made before but haven't racked up the views.
This one has - thank you @issarae and @hooraemedia who have put this out for free on @tiktok
And the numbers are huge as they should be because this is a super set up
What if someone got access to all your online messages, photos and more? And threatened to release them to the world? Yep think we all had a moment then
That's what happens here - a group of friends TV is hacked and unless they reveal a secret to the group every night at 6, the hacker will reveal all to the world
And of course they all have something to hide
We start with Danielle @thebrittneyjefferson who is perhaps the most innocent of the 4, but takes the brunt of it from husband Marcus @ericlynchactor who has a lot more to lose and hide
We haven't been told yet what @luv_jjp is hiding....but James' secret is out in the open.
I do feel for James Xavier Avila as he is the only one who tries to stop the whole thing, he is the have a go hero
The best bit is that this doesn't descend into everyone turning on each other, those tensions are there but it is also about the four working together to try and beat the game and work out who is behind it
And the inclusion of the box is genius. Because as soon as you are told not to open it, all you want to do is open it.
It's all very very good, and you will be gripped
The only annoying thing is this is just part 1, you have to wait to May 22 for the rest of it.
But given it is free to access and so darn good very happy to do that.
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
Not really as all the relationships here fall apart pretty darn fast once we realise everyone has something to hide. I do want to shout out James who does at least try to do something, and confront the person he thinks it is.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
Everyone has something to hide - but it has to be whoever is behind the hacking… and also the fact I have to wait a few weeks for part 2 to drop!
😂 Comedy gold:
Not quite comedy, but the realisation that even when they have gone outside the security system is still watching… also great throw by Marcus.
🎺 Unsung hero:
The Box - very exciting on screen appearance by the box. Because as soon as they are told do not open the box until tomorrow, well then everyone wants to open the box. Excellent understanding of the human psyche.
