REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Right this vertical should come with a health warning. This is not fair of Adam Santa Cruz.

You cannot turn the charm on like that and not give us all advance warning ok. It's not safe. Women around the world are now swooning. We've gone. We surrender.

I mean Alex Reddy as Anna says it best "Did God send his best angel to take me to heaven".

Look the story is slight here. It is made by the performances of all the cast, who give the characters more than one note

Jolene Andersen as Kayla smoking on the sofa and swigging drinks but then cowering in fear from Landen played by Todd Karner.

Joanna Marie Hobbie who needs so much more recognition as she elevates every villain role she plays with the small details, her facial expressions and her body language.

Sean McHugh who unexpectedly suddenly totally pulls you into the story with the flashbacks and that tear he wipes away when he gets the DNA test results.

Alexa Reddy who isn't really given enough to do as Anna, would have loved the character to be developed more, but gives her heart and gentleness and a wonderful connection with William

And then Adam Santa Cruz as William who has some amazing lines, is kindness personified, so tender and respectful with Anna and even manages to make totally overbidding for that necklace endearing.

And that is one of my favourite things about this. The story works, and at the heart of it we have two lovely, quiet people who fall in love deeply with each other and you know will be happy together in the future.

And yes this is now apparently an Adam Santa Cruz fan account.

I apologise to everyone else I have now abandoned.

But I had no choice. How does anyone watch this and not stan Adam Santa Cruz? hmmm?

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

MR ADAM SANTA CRUZ. End of. Also forearms. Forearms are a thing, you don’t always need to take your shirt off. Someone on this production understood that, and the importance of back hugs. Also the line “What have you done to me I’m in love with you to the point of madness”.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

The 2 villainesses are made so much better because we have absolute queens playing them - Joanna Marie Hobbie as Elizabeth and Jolene Anderson as Kayla. Both are brilliant, they know how to embody the role physically, narrow their eyes threateningly, and do an excellent head toss as they storm out.

😂 Comedy gold:

I did love Elizabeth skulking in the bushes but it has to be Landen pushing Anna, and then making his getaway....on a skateboard!🛹Also I think William breaks vertical auction records with a $5billion bid.

🎺 Unsung hero:

I love that time is given to the backstory of Sean McHugh’s character (can’t remember the name). And it actually matters to him when he finds out about his daughters. He wipes away a tear. Proper emotion.
