Oh this is perfection.
For some reason it got me thinking of the movie One Fine Day, but this is better. Swanbeck & Schreen > Pfeiffer & Clooney
It's just rom com gorgeousness with @benschreen as this big golden retriever Leo who just wants to get together with Sophie, and uses various methods such as pretending to be sick, to doing everything he can to keep her safe, stopping falling lights and even getting stabbed at the end. He never loses hope, and is just joyous to watch. We have smiles and fun! He squishes a cockroach. He gets to cuddle plushes. We have CAMPING! This has to be a first in Verticals
And @alexswany is the perfect foil as Sophie, not quite trusting Leo, standing up for herself when dealing with dodgy dates (good punch) or bully Victoria. Sophie is interesting and has personality, she is quite happy as a janitor or waitress. She has one of the best on screen bonds with daughter Mira
Ever Victoria @blairwoodsofficial gets more to do, we have more backstory, Victoria is clearly working her way through married men, and the drunken mess at the end when she loses everything is something to see
We have good friends (Felisha Cooper) supportive mum and assistant
New set ups, a warm family dynamic you feel through the screen, cute moments like all the candy falling out the Cyber truck and it is just utterly wonderful
I would happily show this to my teens, to my mum, to all my friends. There is nothing here to worry about or warn people before browsing.
No dodgy titles or sex toys being waved around as click bait.

This is one of the best rom coms you will watch
It will make you feel happy and giddy and joyous and is just everything I know verticals can be
The leads are phenomenal - Alexandra has the luminosity of Michelle Pfeiffer, Ben a softer and even more likeable charm than George Clooney
Everyone involved should be so so proud of this

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
Eliana and Caspian fall in love – they just suddenly have a bond. I don't think the story needed this, they were getting there anyway. Thankfully lots of lovely moments after this as the two fall more deeply in love, Eliana finds her strength and Caspian overcomes Iron bonds to save his family. Ew future, and their heir - the key to uniting two worlds.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
Oleksandra Pankova and Nazar Grabar have great fun as evil duo Zoya and Matthias, constantly lurking in corners, plotting against out leads and proving once and for all that villains always get the best costumes (and eye shadow).
😂 Comedy gold:
None - instead huge shout out to the hair, make up and costume teams, and production design. They do an amazing job building the world, suggesting enough to transport you there, without ever going over the top or making it distracting.
🎺 Unsung hero:
SFX - the black smoke that Caspian wields is particuarly effective, ampified by clever use of music. Plus loyal Liam who has to deliver a lot of exposition, and is clearly the person making sure that the fae court is efficient and everything gets done.
