If you watch verts you know this storyline, it is I Wish It Were You, but this version is well worth a watch because of the superb cast

@sofialopezbe is always brilliant, she is so likeable and you just want to hug her and make everything ok. It's no surprise Charles @marccotter falls head over heels for her.

And they get some super scenes in this, when they are both hurt and frustrated. Sofia makes you feel for Jenny, and @marccotter has a powerful scene later on when he is beyond frustrated with Jennifer and his mum

Everyone is super, @carolina.rezende_ has been one of the great new vertical villainesses this year, and Jennifer jumps from man to man as she searches for ways to make money, the script makes it clear all the men are merely means to an end, and you really feel if she just applied those brains to actually working hard at a job she would be running a business empire

@brianoshea93 upsets me as I am still a bit swoony over his performance in Hello From the Past but he turns up here seemingly charming but actually bitter and bad and I don't like it. Because he is so good at being bad. And now I get confused. This whole being good at acting thing, and versatility...throws a Jen

And I have to say how much I love @actresschristinaderosa - she gives Mina so much heart, is the vertical mom you want, and then breaks you a little bit in the scene with Charles where she is devastated that the marriage won't work out and she has let down her best friend.

This is why this is so good, all the performances because it carries you past the slight madness of the plot that a detective and CEO can't work out what is going on

Also quick nod to costumes, everyone looks insanely good in this show. Gorgeous outfits all. Plus a super poster that catches the eye when scrolling.

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

Charles and Jenny are utterly adorable together, even if they are a pair of twits who need their heads knocking together. They are cuteness personified, and there is lots of noble suffering, and trying to do the right thing.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

Brian O’Shea upsets me as scuzzbag Jonathan. He does very bad things. And Caroline Rezende is brilliant as scheming Jennifer.

😂 Comedy gold:

This storyline is always a hard sell, as relies on audience buying a lot of misunderstandings. Writers made it even harder setting it in a detective agency - but it just about works. Also Marc Cotter drinks a lot of red wine here, missed opportunity for brand placement.

🎺 Unsung hero:

Christina DeRosa as Mina, always awesome, and exactly who we need to sort all the misunderstandings out. Also the styling is immaculate in this one.
