On the first day Chloe transfers to Blackstone Academy, she confronts the Hayes brothers-the privileged nobles here. She is labeled "untouchable" and is stuck with the bullying brothers. They become each other's biggest enemies. However, after a series of bullying incidents, Archer develops romantic feelings for Chloe. Will she return those feelings?

⭐⭐⭐⭐

So this is the @dramabox_official version of Boys Over Flowers / F1 story which was inevitable when Taming The Bullies did so well

I've never been a massive fan of the storyline from the OG days, but it is oddly compelling watching the Archer character learn to be a better person. And whisper it but this version slightly edges TMB for me

And that is because of @lottie_guidi because Chloe is never a victim, from the moment she matches in and stands up for the untouchable. I know I make fun of the F1 thing, but that is one of the best bits of the show, Chloe storming around the track and scaring even Archer. Possibly totally borrowing from My Fault / Mea Culpa. But hey it works

Lottie is brilliant, and wins everyone over with her personality, and you can see why all 3 brothers fall for her

Now the slight issue with AI and then casting new names with a modelling background - jeez the 3 male leads all look too perfect. Thank goodness someone we know, Lottie is in this, otherwise I would have assumed AI. And yes I am complaining that people look too good.

@judebenji has a tough job as Archer, as so many people made this role their own, but does well, partly because he never goes too far at the beginning so the change feels more natural

@michaelgerow Beau knows he is pushing his luck with Lottie given the lunch room bullying and more, and at least looks a bit abashed about this

Also he really should have dealt better with Mona - @cassiecrotzer - he does treat her awfully. Not enough to justify kidnap. But still

And I do feel for @nickkentt as he isn't really given enough to do as Neil the nice. And the ending seems to slam the door shut on any sequel where Neil gets his moment. But he does do truly excellent puppy dog eyes so expect to see him in more verticals

It's a good solid attempt at this classic story, which wisely puts its own spin on it, and lets Lottie shine

The story is an odd one when you start thinking about it, I mean she falls for her bully. It's not one to dig into, but has worked for years, so why not reboot it

And I do love some of the details this production gets right like the girl mania over the brothers, and swoon faint at beginning.

💖 Top swoonworthy moment:

This version of Boys Over Flowers works because Lottie Guidi is so good as Chloe, she refuses to be beaten, stands up to the nonsense, and wins everyone's respect. You can totally see why Archer falls for her and is willing to change. Little confused by the rushed ending as this throws away an opportunity to do the sequel.

🦹🏼‍♂️ Top villain award:

Initially the brothers - but Mona as usual is the scorned ex who takes it too far. Ah yes kidnappers on speed dial. Where do these high school girls find these connections ????

😂 Comedy gold:

Apparently Archer is an F1 champion racer – but gets beaten by Chloe and it is never mentioned again. Not sure what that was about.

🎺 Unsung hero:

Ah poor Neil, the only vaguely decent brother who looks like he has just finished modeling for Tommy Hilfiger with the jumper thrown over his shoulders, and does a lot of bashful, longing looks at Chloe but gets pushed aside for Archer.
