The great thing about some of the app deals at the moment is this @flareflowapp original is not also available on @dramabox_us and reaching a new audience
It's a tale as old as time. Billionaire falls in love with girl, overhears her saying rich men are bad, pretends to be an escort to get close to her when she is hiring a husband. Well old in verticals anyway
But this version works and brings in some new ideas with feuding sisters Blair And Hailey, and some villainous twists as the end
Dad did a number on his daughters. @jessievaughndoom Blair is poised and controlled, all business woman boss babe. It's really refreshing to see a different, capable female lead like this. She has put up so many walls to keep herself safe she can't quite believe it when Fred comes into her life, and struggles to truly let go.
Which is why we need Fred as he loves so big he overcomes this obstacle. I really wish there were more characters like this in verticals. Male leads with huge hearts who love the FL exactly as she is, even with her faults, and are happy to stand by their sides. Much more appealing than angry husbands.
@sadhat8 has the presence and confidence to make Fred strong when necessary but also lets his FL shine. He brings tousled charm, puppy dog eyes and kindness that radiates off the screen. There is a reason Teig won Rising Star in the fan awards last year, and this performance here showcases it all. A LOT of fans want swoonworthy green flag romantic male leads. Can we make kindness sexy again please as Teig does here? And write more stories with characters like Fred?
Really pleased they gave @lexiangel_ a bit more to do with Hailey's arc, and there was a real moment there with her pain at the IVF not working
Meanwhile @j.briseno_ nails serial killer vibes with his sneering looks and betrayal of everyone at the end

I HATE anyone putting a hand around someone's neck. No need to have Blair do that to Fred. It's awful and dangerous
But overall this is a good version of a classic vertical story, with some great costumes and lovely romance at its heart.
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
There are actually some really sweet moments despite the nutso set up. No angry toxic billionaires here. Fred cooks, does laundry, trusts in Blair's business judgement, defends her physically, and carries her home when she is drunk. Believe me this is swoonworthy. All because he fell in love with Blair when she helped him out years ago. One of the best bits is ep 16 when Fred just brushes Blair's hair out of her eyes, holds her hand and kisses it, then tucks her in with a blanket. Also love the whole park date, which is just delightful. The only issue is we are never quite sure if Blair cares as much, she is so guarded and controlled almost to the point of being cold. It is only in the very last episode that you are emotion and that she has finally let Fred into her heart.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
Hailey and Owen pop up everywhere like a bad smell. Johnny Briseno battles through a truly hideous green suit and Jeffrey Dahmer style glasses. And I love the bits when they turn on each other. There is a super end with Owen when we release how little he cares about Hailey, and she gets to have her revenge. But actually the biggest problem is toxic Dad for setting his 2 daughters against each other. Never explained really. Just an awful man.
😂 Comedy gold:
Fred's panic when Blair suggests meeting his parents. The whole shebang with the sword and the cake. Jon Spano taking one for the team and faceplanting in said cake.
🎺 Unsung hero:
Fred's two assistants Gary and Martin who put up with a lot. Love Gary taking Fred to the bar. And the stylist. Blair's amazing cape dress as the beginning. Fred's red brocade coat at the banquet. Hailey's blue dress. Everything Owen wears. Blair's red and green dresses. Some fantastic eye catching looks.
