I think I may be alone with my thoughts about this one as I know a lot of people love it.
And yes the romance between Harley @victoria.andrunik and Kai @markhvega is really well done and will make lots of people swoon
I just hate the set up.
It's probably a sore point. Some of this sort of horribleness went on when I was at University in Cambridge, at multiple colleges.
It wasn't funny and caused very serious issues.
So it bugs me that no one here really challenges it and goes yes this is dumb and facile, let's dump it.
I don't think anyone has learnt anything and actually Harley will be helping them pick next year's Loser.
And it is so annoying as I then fixated on this rather than enjoying the rest of the vert which is cute and fun, has a great ensemble cast and some good chemistry.
So not my fave on @watchcandyjar
💖 Top swoonworthy moment:
There is some good banter between Harley and Kai, because Harley refuses to give an inch. And the explanation of why Kai has been struggling with everything, but then finds meaning again with Harley works.
🦹🏼♂️ Top villain award:
The Fraternity to be honest - I mean come on people, crowning a loser of the year is horrible. They have a whole wall of photos! It bugs me that no one dismantles this or really challenges them on it. It's a sh*tty set up for the story.
😂 Comedy gold:
The toga party costumes are a hoot. Kai appears to have curtain fringing draped over him and Henry just about pulls off that Roman helmet.
🎺 Unsung hero:
Victoria Andrunik nails the sassy YA female lead, and has been super in every Candyjar project she has been in. Would love to see her get the chance to play something a bit different, reckon we have only just started.
